Residential Grading Foreman

Residential Grading Foreman monitors and supervises the excavation phase of a construction project. Ensures the job completes on schedule and in accordance with the set specifications by:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Performing semi-skilled grade work laborer duties including raking, smoothing, and tamping relating to mass and fine grading
  • Supervises grading crews operating earthwork equipment, including operators operating mini excavators and skid loaders
  • Receive and prioritize daily work assignments and makes crew work assignments
  • Observe work in progress and provides guidance and direction on work procedures and techniques to operators and laborers
  • Check grades using a level and grade rod or laser level
  • Informs General Superintendent of performance or operational problems at work sites
  • Ensures safe work procedures and safe work practices are followed at work sites
  • Ensures barricades and other safety equipment are set up and in place while work is in progress

Must have some computer skills.

Shop Foreman
Shop Foreman will oversee and coordinate various projects ensuring schedules are followed. Supervises contractors and subcontractors to ensure that work meets standards and adheres to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Equipment Manager
  • Oversees mechanics, road mechanics and drivers
  • Directs activities regarding maintenance of assigned facilities and equipment
  • Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on the shop
  • Oversee safety codes are met in the maintenance department
  • Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, equipment dealers, and third parties regarding work procedures, complaints and construction or design issues
  • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with a variety of people, including owners, managers, and employees

Heavy Equipment Operator
We are looking for skilled heavy equipment operators. The heavy equipment operator's duties include preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement and placement of materials and communicating with coworkers to ensure that the projects are completed accurately. You will be required to conduct your duties in a safe, diligent manner at all times. To ensure success as a heavy equipment operator, you should monitor workflow, suggesting alterations to enhance productivity, as needed.

Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities:

  • Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.
  • Equipment includes but not limited to Excavator, Bull Dozers, Front End Loaders, End Dumps and Rollers
  • Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
  • Observe stipulated safety codes at all times.
  • Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.
  • Reporting injuries and other accidents to the project manager.
  • Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
  • Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.

Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements:

  • Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment
  • Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
  • Capacity to provide and follow directions. Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as required.

Estimator/ Project Manager Core Responsibilities

  • Review initial plans, specifications, schedule lists, and job opportunities with project managers
  • Prepares construction budget by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs
  • Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials
  • Identify qualified subcontractors and negotiate price
  • Calculate take-offs when required with estimating software and scale methods

Equipment Manager
The Equipment Manager is responsible for and supervises the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization.
  • Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the equipment and shop facilities department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations of staff that are timely and constructive.

Duties/Responsibilities:
